Who we are

MyWebsiteHost is run by Graeme Preston, our Founder & Owner, from Fiskerton, near Southwell in Nottinghamshire. The business started in 2005 and has traded as BiGWorld Hosting and IslandHost along the way, before settling on MyWebsiteHost.

Most of our customers are small businesses, and the web designers who build websites for them. We look after customers right across the UK.

My Christian faith is at the heart of how I run this business: being honest about what things cost, treating every customer fairly, and doing what I say I'll do. We're glad to work with churches and faith groups, and you'll get the same care from us whoever you are and whatever you believe.

Support is by ticket, and every ticket is read by the people who built and run the servers, not passed through a call centre. Each request leaves a written record, anyone on our side can pick it up, and nobody's place in the queue depends on how persistent they are.

Our service status page is public and needs no login, so you can always check whether a problem is ours.

Moving to us

If your website is with another host, we'll move it across for free, as long as you can give us access to your current hosting. We'll plan the move with you so your email keeps working throughout. Web, WordPress and Reseller hosting also come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
