Your reseller hosting is white-label. Your customers can log in to their hosting panel at your own address, such as panel.yourdomain.co.uk, and see your logo and colours rather than ours. This guide shows you how to set that up.
What you need
- A domain you own, for example yourdomain.co.uk.
- Access to that domain's DNS settings.
- Your reseller login for the hosting panel.
1. Point a subdomain at the server
In your domain's DNS settings, add an A record:
- Host / name: panel (or any name you like, such as cp or hosting)
- Points to: the server IP address in your reseller welcome email
DNS changes usually take effect within an hour, but can take longer.
2. Add the domain to your reseller account
The easiest choice is your reseller account's main domain (the one in your welcome email), which is already on the server. Switch to User level in the hosting panel and add the subdomain under Domain Setup → Subdomains (for example, panel).
To use a different domain, first create an account for it at reseller level under Account Manager → Add New User, then log in as that user and add the subdomain there.
3. Add a free SSL certificate
Still logged in as that user, go to SSL Certificates and choose Free & automatic certificate from Let's Encrypt. Tick your panel subdomain (for example panel.yourdomain.co.uk) and save. If your main domain isn't pointing at our server yet, untick it and its www version, or the request will fail.
4. Log in at your own address
Your panel is now available at:
https://panel.yourdomain.co.uk:2222
Give this address to your customers. The login page is unbranded, so they won't see our name.
5. Add your logo and colours
At reseller level, go to Customize Evolution Skin. Upload your logo, set your colours, and adjust the menu. Your customers see these once they log in.
Good to know
- The certificate renews automatically.
- If you use your own WHMCS, you can keep connecting it to the server address in your welcome email. Your custom panel address is for your customers.
