These terms apply to website design and build work, in addition to our Terms of Service. If the two conflict, these terms apply to design work. If you're a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
1. What's included
The Brochure Website package includes the design and build of up to five pages, a contact form linked to your email address, a site that works on phones, tablets and computers, and two rounds of changes before launch. Anything else, such as extra pages, writing your text, booking or shop features, or a logo, is quoted and agreed in writing before we start it.
2. Price and payment
The package costs £795. You pay a £400 deposit when you order and the £395 balance before your site goes live. We'll invoice the balance when your site is ready to launch, and put it live once the invoice is paid. Extra work is charged as quoted, or at £50 an hour in 15-minute blocks where we've agreed to work by the hour.
3. Hosting and domain
Your site is published on a hosting plan with us, billed separately under our Terms of Service. Your domain name is registered in your own name, whether you register it with us or keep it where it is.
4. What we need from you
We'll ask for your text, logo, photos and any other material within 30 days of your order, and for your feedback on each draft within 14 days. If we haven't heard from you for 60 days despite reminders, we may close the project. You can restart it later, but we may need to re-quote.
5. Rounds of changes
A round of changes is one list of changes you send us about a draft. The package includes two rounds. Further rounds, or changes that alter what was agreed (for example a new page or a completely new design), are charged as extra work, and we'll tell you before we charge anything.
6. Your material
You confirm you have the right to use everything you send us, including text, logos, photos and fonts, and that publishing it won't break anyone else's rights or the law. Stock photos we supply are licensed for use on your website.
7. Who owns the site
Once the full price is paid, you own the finished website: its design, your content and the site's files. If you ever move your website elsewhere, open a ticket and we'll give you a copy of the site's files that you can put on any host. Until the full price is paid, we keep the right to the design and the files.
8. After launch
Changes after launch are covered by a Site Care plan, if you choose one, or charged at our hourly rate. Site Care plans are billed monthly and you can cancel them at any time.
9. Cancelling
- If you're a business customer, you can cancel at any time by opening a ticket. The deposit covers our work up to that point and isn't refundable once design work has started. If we've done more work than the deposit covers, we may invoice the difference at our hourly rate, up to the full package price.
- If you're a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of your order. If you asked us to start work during those 14 days and then cancel, we'll refund your deposit minus a fair amount for the work already done. After 14 days, the business-customer terms above apply.
- If we need to cancel, we'll refund any part of the price that covers work we haven't done.
10. Our responsibility
We'll build your site with reasonable care and skill and fix any fault in our work that you report within 30 days of launch, free of charge. We're not responsible for the accuracy of the content you supply, or for problems caused by changes made by anyone other than us.
