When you recommend us and someone orders through your personal link, you earn credit on your account. This article explains how to get your link, what earns a reward and how to use it.
Get your link
- Log in to your client area.
- Open Affiliates (in the menu under your name, or go straight to your Affiliates page).
- Click Activate Affiliate Account. It's one click and costs nothing.
- Your personal link appears on the page. Copy it and share it however you like: by email, in a message, or on social media.
Your link takes people to our home page, so they can look round before choosing anything.
What you earn
- 10% of the first payment on a hosting plan, or on any of our other products ordered as its own item (email, spam filtering, SSL certificates, website security, backup, monitoring and so on).
- £50 when someone orders Website Design (a website we design and build for them).
You earn once per order, on its first payment. Renewals don't earn again.
What doesn't earn a reward
- Domain registrations and transfers.
- Extras added to a hosting plan in the same order. For example, if someone orders a hosting plan with spam filtering added to it, the hosting plan earns your 10% and the spam filtering doesn't.
- Your own orders. You can't refer yourself.
If the person uses a promotion code, your 10% is worked out on what they actually pay. The £50 for Website Design isn't affected.
When you get your reward
When the order is paid, your reward appears on your Affiliates page as pending. It stays pending for 31 days, which covers our 30-day money-back guarantee. After that it moves to your available balance.
Using your reward
- When your available balance is £10 or more, go to Affiliates and click Request Withdrawal.
- We add the amount to your account as credit, usually within a working day, and reply to let you know.
- Credit is used automatically on your next invoices.
Rewards are paid as account credit only, not as cash.
Tips
- Your link is remembered on the device it was clicked on, so the person doesn't have to order straight away. It works best if they order on the same device and browser.
- Existing customers count too: if they click your link and then order something new, you earn on it.
- Your Affiliates page shows how many people have clicked your link, who has signed up and what's pending.
If a referral is missing
If you think someone ordered through your link and it isn't showing, get in touch with their name and roughly when they ordered. We can check and add it by hand.
