We send an invoice by email before each renewal, and every invoice is kept in your account. This guide covers paying an invoice, saving a card so renewals pay themselves, and what happens if a payment is missed.
Finding your invoices
Log in to your account and open Billing, then My Invoices. Each invoice shows its date, due date, total and status: Unpaid, Paid or Cancelled. Click one to view it, download it as a PDF or pay it.
Paying an invoice
- Open the unpaid invoice.
- Click Pay Now.
- Use a saved card, or enter a new card's details, and confirm. Your bank may ask you to approve the payment in its app.
We take payment by debit or credit card, handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Saving a card for automatic renewals
With a card saved, renewal invoices are paid automatically on their due date, so nothing lapses while you're on holiday.
- Open Billing, then Payment Methods.
- Click Add New Credit Card, enter the card details and save.
- If you have more than one card saved, use Set as Default on the one you want renewals to use.
To replace an expiring card, add the new one, make it the default, then delete the old one.
If a payment is missed
We send reminders before and after the due date. If a hosting or email invoice stays unpaid, the service is suspended until it's paid; your website and mailboxes aren't deleted straight away, and they come back as soon as the invoice is paid. Domains work differently: an unpaid domain renewal means the domain expires. See What happens when your domain expires.
If you're having trouble paying, open a ticket before the due date and we'll work something out.
Changing your billing details
To change the name, company or address on future invoices, open your name at the top right, then Account Details. Invoices already issued keep the details they were created with.
