Getting started with SocialBee

SocialBee helps you plan and schedule posts for your social media accounts from one place, so your pages stay active without you posting by hand every day. This article covers opening SocialBee, connecting your accounts and setting up a posting schedule.

Opening SocialBee

1. Sign in to the client area and go to My Services.
2. Click your SocialBee service.
3. Use the log-in button on its page. SocialBee opens already signed in.

SocialBee is one account for you, not tied to a domain or a website, so it works whatever your website is built with and wherever it's hosted.

Connecting your social accounts

In SocialBee, add each social media profile you want to post to (for example your Facebook Page, LinkedIn page, X account or Instagram business account). You'll be asked to sign in to each one and give SocialBee permission to post. Your plan sets how many profiles you can connect.

For Facebook and Instagram, connect your business Page rather than your personal profile.

Content categories and your schedule

SocialBee organises posts into categories, such as Tips, Offers or Behind the scenes. You then give each category time slots in a weekly schedule, and SocialBee fills each slot with the next post from that category. That keeps a good mix, rather than every post being an advert.

1. Create a few categories that suit your business.
2. Add posts to each category. Posts in some categories can be set to repeat, so good evergreen content keeps working.
3. Set up your weekly schedule: which categories post, on which accounts, on which days and at what times.

Check the upcoming queue before your first week runs, so you know exactly what will go out.

Workspaces and users

A workspace holds one business's accounts, posts and schedule. If you look after social media for more than one business (or for clients), give each its own workspace, so nothing gets mixed up. You can also invite other users, such as a colleague, to help.

Plan limits

Need more profiles, users or workspaces? Move to a bigger plan from the client area: open the SocialBee service in My Services and choose to upgrade (see Upgrading or downgrading your plan).
